When Was Halo 3 Released?
On May 15, 2007 the information was out ” the Halo 3 release date would be September 25 in North America and the 26th in Europe. Halo 3 marked the third in a very popular series for the Xbox 360 called Halo. According to the vice president of Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business, Halo 3’s release was more than just a video game release, it was the biggest media event of the year. He may just have been right.
The history of Halo 3 really starts with the release of the first game in the series ‘Halo: Combat Evolved’. In November, 2001, when Halo was first released, game consoles were something of a joke for one person shooter games. Sure, some games existed, but there weren’t the popular communities that the PC games in the genre had.
That all changed with Halo, in which players could fight aliens on foot and in vehicles, in order to complete objectives, while trying to uncover the secret of the Halo. Halo pioneered limiting the amount of weapons a player could carry to two, which in turn, meant forcing the player to make strategic decisions.
People waited for the Halo 3 release with baited breath. They awaited the continuation of the one-person, shoot-em-up combat format that had been dominant in the previous two versions of Halo. Microsoft calls it the ‘Golden Triangle of Halo’, which consists of gun-type weapons, grenades and others. In reality, this was nothing new to one-person, shoot-em-up games, as it had existed since the very first Doom and even the precursor to that game, Wolfenstein.
So, with all of that previous history, people were full of anticipation and excitement about the Halo 3 release date. How popular and welcome was the game? Well, before its release, 3.1 million copies were sold in advance orders and retailers thought that that was insufficient.
The game grossed $300 million in the United States in just the first seven days. Overall, it has sold over nine million copies worldwide and was the best-selling video game in the USA in 2007. Even the critics liked it, putting it the seventh highest on the all-time list of Xbox 360 games.
The Halo 3 release date, like the release date of many widely popular video games was almost like a holiday like Christmas or Easter. It leaves us with the question of what will happen with video games in the future?

Slave Earrings – A Closer Look At This Earring Duo
Earrings that include a stud worn at the ear lobe, and an attached chain that goes to the top of the ear by way of a second piercing or cuff, are known as slave earrings, or multiple-piercing earrings. These are even more unique looking than gold knot earrings. Also included with the slave earrings, is an earring for the other ear, typically a stud or other small earring that complements the look of the other ear, without stealing attention from it.
The term “slave earring” was coined because of the way the two parts of the arrangement are chained together. When you look at these earrings you find that the ear lobe and upper cartilage are chained together in a much the same way that you may see in a slave bracelet or anklet arrangement.
Slave piercings were quite popular during the punk movement and have regained popularity after being seen in Star Trek which earned them the new moniker “Bajoran Earrings.” These sorts of jewelry arrangements are often worn by traditional Indian brides though they would feature a lot more embellishment than those we see in western fashion jewelry. While there are a few different treatments of the slave earring arrangement. In some a chain is also extended to a nose ring while others don’t really include an upper piercing, simply hanging a jewelry piece in the crease between the ear and the side of the wearer’s head rather than being attached firmly to the upper ear.
While a great deal of modern slave earrings retain their punk roots using chains and studs inset with stones but they have also reached out for a more refined appearance. If they are done properly, anyone can wear a slave earring. If you choose the proper earring for your desired look you can appear as feminine as you wish wearing a slave jewelry piece. TO achieve a more feminine look pick pieces with smaller pieces, more delicate chains and choose finer metals and precious gems.
When you put on a slave earring you first attach the lower stud earring. As you are attaching the lower portion of the earring you need to take care not to tangle the chain or chains. Next you take hold of the ear cuff or second stud and lift it carefully to it’s place high on your ear. Now you will attache the cuff or place the stud and it’s back. If the piece feels loose adjust the stud or pinch the cuff until it feels more secure.
You should choose the earring to be the basis for your outfit to create an edgy but feminine appearance. In order to not over crowd the slave earring grouping, do not add any jewelry above the bangles or rings which you might add to increase your jewelry .
You can easily wear slave jewelry with your casual jean and t-shirt or a more feminine dress and create a good look either way.. While you may want to proceed with caution to avoid coming off too tough, but you can create a very striking effect with a little hard-rock flavor in your jewelry fashion. If you want to add a twist to your usual style you can use slave earrings as an alternative to regular earrings.

Facts About Wristwatches
The watch has become a symbol of status and a piece of modern culture. The most important features for watches are elegance and convenience. No more than 100 years ago, gentlemen used to carry pocket watches with them. Wristwatches were first worn by women. The wristwatch was called wristlet back then and not many people considered them to be serious time pieces. No man would have been caught dead wearing such a watch.
These types of watches were also looked down at by the watch-making community. They believed that this type of watch could never achieve the accuracy of a pocket watch or a normal clock because of the small size. This is one of the reasons that determined the companies not to produce them or not to produce them in large quantities.
Back in 1907, Louis Cartier was asked by his friend, the Brazilian aviator, Alberto Santos Dumont, to come up with a version of watch that he could use when flying a plane. The watch was named the Santos wristwatch. It first went on sale in 1911, the date of Cartier’s first wristwatch production. During wartime, for the soldiers it was difficult to use a pocket watch especially when in combat. The watch was heavy and also very difficult to look at when engaged in a battle. The soldiers came up with the idea of fitting the watches into leather braces to strap them onto their wrists in order to free their hands.
Wristwatches were not a novelty anymore but they began being a wartime necessity. The soldiers returning from battle brought the hand-made wristwatches home as souvenirs. This is the moment in history when these types of watches began to see numerous improvements.
In our days, the watch has become an indispensable item. Some consider it to be a wealth statement while others simply look at the practical side.

How To Create Your Own Charm Bracelet
There are all different types of charm bracelets from the very beautifully designed silver, gold or platinum bracelets through to simple styles you can make on your own. Silver charms look great on any style of bracelet and can be mixed with beads, thread charms and other types of natural items and decorations. Getting creative in making a charm bracelet for your collection of silver charms or to give as a gift is a fun way to show your artistic side.
The simplest and easiest type of charm bracelet is made from a strand of elastic thread or nylon beading cord. Cut a length that is longer than the circumference of your wrist and loose enough to allow it to slide on over your fingers and hand.
The beads that will be used for the bracelet can include wooden beads, ceramic, glass or even silver, all will look terrific with silver charms. Match the beads roughly to size to prevent the bracelet from looking unbalanced.
Start by sliding a few beads of your choice along the piece of elastic cord or thread. You don’t have to pack them tightly on the length, looser is actually better. Tie the ends together and clip the long threads, then use the same type of thread to add silver charms or other charms between the beads.
Hemp and fine cotton cords can be used to make colorful or very natural looking bracelets as well. Weaving, plaiting or knotting the natural fabric in a pattern can make a beautiful bracelet that will really highlight the silver charms. The charms themselves can be attached with silver split rings or spring rings to provide a durable attachment to the bracelet.
Sterling silver charms and natural silver charms match very well in natural materials is a very holistic and down to earth type of theme. Adding silver charms of nature themes is a terrific option and they can be added to the bracelet with spring or split ring clasps, depending on the thickness of the bracelet.
Toggle clasps can be tied to either end of the natural bracelet, providing a beautiful and very much in fashion type of closure. There is also the option to leave the ends long and simply loosely knot or tie the bracelet closed, using the ends of the cord as part of the overall design of the bracelet.
Making charm bracelets and providing a few silver charms to get started is a great way to give gifts year round. Of course your silver charms will also look terrific on a collection of your own style of charm bracelets and can be easily customized to match your wardrobe and style.
