Diamond Rings : A Short Guide On Keeping Yours In Good Condition
It is hard to beat diamond rings in terms of beauty and luster. They are radiant even without the aid of bright light and attract attention wherever you go. Diamond rings are not only beautiful, but they are symbolic as well. Some are representative of a lifelong union between two people, and others are family heirlooms. The stone is not the only valuable piece of the ring because the band is usually just as prestigious. With all of the precious parts of one, it is important to know how to clean and care for a diamond ring.
Diamonds are durable substances, of course, but they are not invincible. They can still become damaged. Prevention is often the first step in caring for a diamond ring, and they should never be worn when performing activities that can hurt the settings. Before gardening, washing dishes, or doing other work with your hands, the ring should be taken off. Strenuous work or exercise by itself probably will not damage the ring, but perspiration can corrode the band. Again, remove the ring before engaging in such activity.
When storing a diamond ring, it should be kept separate from other pieces of jewelry. Again, diamond is sturdy, but it can chip if jostled hard enough. The band can easily become scratched if placed in a box or drawer with other pieces of jewelry, especially if the container is handled often. If possible, the original box is an ideal container in which to place the ring for safekeeping. Even with the best care, the prongs in the setting may occasionally need to be re-tipped with gold by a professional jeweler.
Even with all the care in the world, diamond rings need intermittent cleaning. To clean them, they can be soaked in a solution of alcohol and warm water, and then gently scrubbed with a very soft bristled brush. To dry them, only use a cloth without lint. Some allow the ring to air dry on the cloth, or it may be dried by dabbing it with the cloth. Never rub it dry.
Cleaning and caring for diamond rings is not all that difficult. Do not expose them to activities that might damage them and store them in a place in which they will not be jostled around. Cleaning them with gentle solutions is essential, and they need to be brushed softly. Taking basic care of diamond rings will keep them looking brilliant for years to come.

A Guide To The Internet.
There is such a huge assortment of choice when it comes to the Net that it can be quite bewildering. The purpose of this guide is to make the process of setting yourself up online easier.
I have been on the Internet since 1988 (with a 2Kb modem in those days) and have used dial-up telephone line connections, high-speed broadband and satellite links.
At whatever point you are considering entering the Internet market, you will need an Internet Service Provider (ISP). You may merely want to surf the Net and swap emails or you may want your own website too. Let us talk about these in turn.
The most widespread kind of UK internet access at the moment is high-speed broadband, whether it comes from a cable provider or a telephone line, usually provided by BT. If you are still using a dial-up 56 Kb connection, you have a wonderful experience in store for you.
If you are considering going online for the first time, don’t give dial-up a second thought – it is painfully slow, once you have used high-speed broadband.
If you have a cable TV provider, you will probably find it simpler to buy your connection from your present supplier, otherwise I recommend going with BT Broadband.
BT has lots of experience, a long-standing good record and are very reasonable too these days. You can read an piece on broadband Internet access by clicking through to BT’s web site.
Most ISP’s will allow you a couple of email addresses and a limited amount of their disk space to host a personal web site. This might be adequate for most individuals, but these days, with lower prices and higher individuality required, I think that most people would prefer a more personal web site and the personal email addresses that go with it.
For instance: would you prefer to ‘be known as’ (ie have an email address of): owen1954-8@ntlworld.com and a site address of http://ntlworld.com/owen1954-8/index.html or owen@amiabledragon.com and an address of http://amiabledragon.com ?
(These are real examples: I was with NTL before, but have left them and the Amiable Dragon is one of my websites). In this instance, amiabledragon.com is my domain name, so I can put anything I choose before it to create an email address.
It is far more personal AND it can be used for business, if I like, whereas many ISP’s ban the use of their websites for business use. If you decide on having your own domain, then you will have to host it somewhere (ie someone will have to keep it on their computer for you).
Finally, you may want to improve your Net experience by upgrading some of your accessories; for instance: getting an optical or radio mouse, a wireless router, a better seat or desk et cetera.

Getting More Backlinks And SEO Part One
If you are at all serious about making money on line, then you should be concentrating a great deal of your effort on SEO and getting more backlinks. SEO is ’search engine optimization’, but for those who are not sure what backlinks are, here is an explanation.
Backlinks are links from other websites back to your website. Google and other search engines use the number of backlinks it can find to a web site to judge how popular (and therefore how decent or and helpful) it is. The most well-liked websites float to the top of the search engine rankings.
However, there are two kinds of backlinks: reciprocated and unreciprocated backlinks. Reciprocated backlinks are those where Google finds a link from your website back to the other website, which it perceives as a one for one swap.
These links are deemed to be of less worth. Unreciprocated backlinks are perceived to be of high value because, Google reasons, you have to be so useful that webmasters will link to you for nothing.
I am sure that you appreciate that it is very useful to get to the front page of Google’s search results for the keyword phrase that you would like to rank for, but maybe you do not realize quite how vital it is.
On average, more than 85% of surfers arrive at the website that they would like by looking for it on a search engine and most people use Google. Not just that, but most surfers do not look further than the first page of results and most of those do not even scroll down to check the others that they cannot see on the first page (below the fold).
It could be that the numbers 1-5 in the search results get 10 times more clicks than the numbers 6-10 (assuming 10 results per page) and 100 times more than anybody on page two. After page two, you can forget it really.
Not just will your website get more clicks up on the top of the search results, but the people who click through to your site will be searching for what you have to sell, which results in more targeted visitors. If the product sells, the top three do very well indeed.
I will return to getting more backlinks later, because there are a few other little tweaks that you can check on to improve your search engine ranking (SEO). Firstly, make sure that the title of your website is relevant to what you are using the site for.
For example, if you are selling T-shirts, it is better to call the site “Mike’s T-shirts” than “Mike’s Clothing”. There are other ways of linking websites, if you make a decision later to sell collared shirts or jumpers. Stay targeted. Begin making money by selling T-shirts and then move on.
If you have several pages, be certain that the titles of each page are relevant as well. Check the source code for every page as well and make sure that the META tags are relevant: that is, put at least six keywords in the keyword meta tag and put a relevant description in the description meta tag – again keep them focused but do not repeat a keyword more than three times per page.

Deep Sea Diving: The Importance Of Trimix
One of the most important aspects of scuba diving that a diver has to learn is how to set up the breathing tank. Divers do not use oxygen in their tanks, they use (or, increasingly, used to use) compressed air. However air is approximately 70 percent nitrogen and 30 percent oxygen and the nitrogen can result in nitrogen sickness under pressure, so more and more divers are turning to Nitrox.
Nitrox is not air, but it is still composed solely of nitrogen and oxygen, although not in the same ratio, which you can vary. The difficulty with raising the amount of oxygen in the mix is that there is a greater likelihood of suffering from oxygen toxicity the deeper you go. Therefore, the trade off is that the more oxygen you use, the shallower you may swim.
It sounds like a rough choice, you can suffer from either nitrogen or oxygen toxicity, take your choice. However, there is a third option and it is known as Trimix. Trimix is the ‘air’ that deep sea divers use. It is a mixture of three gases, as its name suggests: nitrogen oxygen and helium.
Helium is used as a form of filler. It does not do us any injury and it does not do us any good either, but it permits divers to take a lung full and it reduces the volume of nitrogen and the volume of oxygen thus reducing the chance of sickness.
The only problem with helium is that it conducts heat five times more than oxygen and nitrogen. This leads some deep sea divers to suffer from a condition known as hyperbaric arthralgia. Hyperbaric arthralgia is a kind of joint pain that a number of divers experience as they go deeper than 100 feet in salt water.
Deep sea divers have to learn about the different Trimixes as part of their course, because one day they will be accountable for choosing the mix they use. The option is not just compressed air, nitrox and Trimix, because there are different ratios of the gases in Trimix to take into the equation as well.
For instance, a 10/70 Trimix will be made up of 10 percent oxygen, 70 percent helium (and 20 percent nitrogen). This form of mix is suitable for diving to a depth of 330 feet in salt water or 100 msw (metres in salt water). Fresh water is a little lighter than salt water. This does not count at lower depths, but it does after a hundred feet.
Breathing and gases are merely one aspect of diving that you will have to master if you would like to go diving. A different aspect of diving that is associated with diving is the rate of ascent. Divers used to get taught not to come up faster than their smallest bubbles, which is about 60 feet per minute. However, many instructors now think that this is still too fast and recommend 30 feet per minute with a three minute wait at 15 feet.
