Protecting Children With Mental Health Problems
Who are the predators? Predators are Cyber Stalkers, serial killers/rapists, rapists, paedophiles, women beaters, child abusers, thieves and so on. Predators often have mental disorders that prevent them from functioning properly in normal society. Children with mental illnesses are often the prey of these predators, and sometimes children with mental illnesses are the predators themselves. In fact, the creator of one of the most serious viruses online came from an eighteen-year old from England.
Dangers mental illnesses: Not everyone with a mental disorder is a threat to society. Generally, predators with mental disorders are plagued with sociopathic, psychopathic and anti-social disorders, oppositional defiance, conduct control disorders, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorders (BPD), and psychosis. While there are a few other mental illnesses that pose threats to our society, this is a list of the most common potential dangers that lurk on the streets and on the Internet.
How to save a child with mental disorders from dangers : Never treat your child as if he/she has a mental disorder. Treat your child as special, yet avoid treating the child as if he/she is mentally ill, since a lot of mentally ill patients are extremely intelligent. Teach your child the same rules that other children abide by and stick to the rules. Do not leave room for leniency when danger is present. Teach your child respect by showing respect yourself.
Children with dangerous mental disorders will often want to watch pornography, violent images, content, et cetera. This makes it difficult as a parent to defend your child. However, it is important that you enforce the laws. Never put yourself in danger while enforcing these laws, since some children with dangerous problems can be violent.
If the child won’t listen to you, bring in the police and make sure that they do their job to help you enforce the rules. You may have to pay court fees and go through all sorts of rigmarole, but I can promise you that it will benefit you in the end. As a mother who is raising two boys with dangerous mental diseases, I can tell you it won’t be easy but it can be done.
Children with mental disorders often have brilliant minds that can often get round any parental controls and will do so without you even knowing. Take extra time than normal to monitor your child’s behaviour online. Teach your child that divulging personal details is dangerous and encourage them to request your permission when thinking about divulging name, phone number or other information online.
Allow your child to take some responsibility for himself and always encourage your child to join in family discussions that involve them. Furthermore, encourage the child to be safety conscious by asking them to report any wrong committed against them.
One of the most difficult things you’ll ever have to do while raising a child with mental health problems is encouraging him/her to stay away from violent images and pornography. It is almost impossible to keep them clear of this trash. However, it can be done, if you set a good example for the child to follow.
It is vital that you keep talking and listening to your child. Allow your child to express concerns, opinions, ideals, theories et cetera without demeaning the child. You will be amazed at the wisdom children with some mental disorders have, if you will only listen to them.
The best advice I can offer you for dealing with children with major mental illnesses, such as psychopathy, is to seek help and stand firm. For additional child safety tips for children with mental disorders ask advice from a qualified counsellor.
Remember: Children learn what they see and hear.

Which Laptop Computer?
Laptop computer reviews represent a very significant source of information for those who are interested in getting a new computer to help them in their occupation or to provide entertainment at home. But being an informed buyer is not an simple job for anybody.
Even though we may think that we are knowledgeable enough, we may later, discover that we were mistaken in the decision we took. Or perhaps that mistake was made during the phase before the decision itself was made? During the research period perhaps?
The rule of thumb is to try to read more than a few laptop computer reviews more before you consider you have obtained enough information to be able to do what you need. Why is that so necessary?
To start with, laptop computer reviews are written by people who are paid to write quite a lot of reviews perhaps even in one single day. As a result of this, whether the writer wants to or not, he/she may end up saying pretty much the same thing about almost every laptop computer or even just glossing over the details.
Or, she/he may end up leaving bits of information out. Making mistakes is fairly common in human work when fatigue and tedium enter the picture.
Another reason why you should read as many laptop computer reviews as possible is that this way you will definitely come across reviews made by some people who actually use the laptop computer you are interested in. These forms of reviews and assessments are the ones that will most likely provide you with a truthful picture of how this laptop computer really works.
People who have actually used the computer will also have several points of view that big magazine reviewers may exclude from their pieces or reviews. These kinds of laptop computer reviews will also give you an idea about whether you are thinking about buying a laptop computer that is ideal for you or whether you are thinking about buying something that is too advanced for your requirements and so unnecessarily expensive, or too basic, and therefore cheap but useless.
Last but not least, different laptop computer reviews, especially if they come from several sites and consumers, will differ in the sort of information they will give you about the laptop computer. What may be absent from one assessment may be mentioned in another.
The whole mystery will not be over until you actually own that computer. However, the larger the number of reviews you read, the more accurate the image you will get. Above all, remember that ignorance of the details could cost you dearly and more than that, might even land you with a low quality laptop computer.

How To Buy A Computer
As with everything else, buying a computer is straightforward if you know what you are doing. For those who do not know though, it can be a complete nightmare. People who have had a computer before have a good idea about what they require and what they would like, but for those who have never had a computer before, all the components that make up a computer can appear bewildering.
The obvious answer is to buy the best that you can manage, but this still might puzzle some people, because the best is not always the most expensive. In the computer world, ‘the best’ normally means the biggest and the fastest.
Just to make it more perplexing, ‘the biggest’ here does not always mean in size, but in capacity. The only large size that is important is the monitor. This is a quick rundown of how to buy a computer and its components:
Before you buy a computer, think about why you want one. If it is for educational purposes: that is surfing the web and looking up content, you do not have to have more than a basic desktop computer. If you are constantly on the move, then you might require a laptop, or maybe cyber cafes will meet your requirements.
This kind of machine is also ample for writing letters and emails and almost any type office work. Top flight computers are only required by games players and exhibitionists.
Purchase a complete computer. That means acquiring a kit of: CPU (the ‘computer’), monitor (screen), keyboard, mouse, speakers and printer. This way you will just have to plug everything in and off you go – you can be sure that they are all well-matched.
When you buy your next computer, you can buy all the components individually to get even better value for money or a system more precisely customized to your preferences.
Go for the largest screen, the fastest memory and fastest hard drive and the biggest memory (RAM) and biggest hard drive (gigabytes) that you can afford. You do not have to have a great deal of ’space’ for normal office work or normal surfing, but if you get into downloading music or films, then memory soon gets eaten up, although you could always add a new external (plug-in) hard drive later, in necessary.
Make sure that you buy a computer that is not too old, if you go second-hand. This is because you can up-grade computers for two or three years, but after that manufacturers change the casings and new components will no longer fit – planned obsolescence, it is known as.
Get your computer from a well-known, reliable local store and ensure that it has a good guarantee. Computers do not often go wrong, but you do not want to have to send it half-way across the country and wait three weeks for it to come back. If you are in business, get two. Perhaps a laptop and a desktop and synchronize the contents of both so that you always have your information.
Following these guidelines will ensure that the computer novice gets ‘enough’ of a deal and an acceptable machine that is fit for purpose without paying through the nose.

Is The Pricing Of E-Book Readers And E-Books About To Change?
Amazon, using their Kindle reader family as a vehicle, has been a major player in the development of both the e-book reader and e-book market. The first Kindle was released in November of 2007. In February of 2009, the updated and enhanced Kindle 2.0 hit the market, quickly followed by the large format Kindle DX in the summer of the same year.
The Kindle readers dominated the market with a 60% share of all American e-book reader sales. Sony’s PRS reader – which was actually available in 2006, some time before the Kindle – followed in second place with a 35% market share. Other companies quickly saw the huge potential of the rapidly developing e-book reader market and either launched or updated their own readers in order to get a share of the available sales.
Companies such as Sony, Barnes and Noble, Bookeen, Plastic Logic and iRex did their best to get their share of the new and fast developing e-book market, but the Kindle’s dominance looked to be pretty much unassailable. It wasn’t until the launch of the Apple iPad that the Kindle had any credible competition – even although the two devices were very different and would appeal, you would imagine, to different audiences.
Differences in the devices and their intended applications notwithstanding, e-book reader prices have tumbled since the launch of the iPad. You can now pick up the Kindle 2.0 for just $ 189 – a huge reduction over the launch price of $ 359 – and a significant drop from the pre-iPad price of $ 259. The newly upgraded Kindle DX can be yours for just $ 379, down from $ 489. Barnes and Noble’s Nook reader is now on sale at just $ 199.
Whilst the price of e-book readers may be falling, the same cannot be said about the price of the e-books which these devices are used to read. Again, Apple had a hand in this. Apple had, in advance of the launch of the iPad, set up their own book store and negotiated a pricing deal with the major publishing houses which basically allowed them to fix the price of their e-book editions at whatever level they wished. The only rider being that they could not offer the same e-book version at a lower price on any other platform. This effectively put paid to Amazon’s policy of pricing e-books at $ 9.99 or lower and was very popular amongst the publishing companies.
Although Amazon had to modify their approach, it wasn’t all bad news for them – or for Barnes and Noble either. Amazon had always given the impression that they were much more interested in book sales – and e-book sales – than they were in hardware sales. How else to explain the fact that they had bent over backwards to make it possible to read Kindle books on such a wide variety of different devices? It’s possible to read Kindle books on the PC, the Mac, the iPod Touch, the iPhone, the iPad, the Blackberry and any mobile device that runs Android. The latest price movements mean that Amazon, and other companies such as Barnes and Noble – and now Apple – who have a significant stake not just in the sale of hardware but also in the sale of e-books, can adopt a policy of selling the hardware cheap and making their profit in the sale of e-books over the life of the reading device.
This trend may tend to favor companies which have a foot in both the book and hardware sales camps. Considering the current number of devices which can be used to read Kindle books, it looks as if Amazon will be a major player in the future of digital publishing for some time to come.

Computer Cases – Aesthetics And Utility
Is your computer’s case or casing of any importance to you? You might be asking yourself the question: why should it be? The fact is that the computer case is vital to the computer itself and also to some people.
Let’s begin from the computer’s point of view. One, if not the main causes of computer failure is too much heat. Which is why, when computers were first used in factories and large offices, the dedicated computer room was cut off from dust and was air conditioned, if not cooled especially. In those days, thirty-forty years ago, computer parts were very delicate and extremely costly.
Nowadays, they are very, very much cheaper but they are still subject to jip from heat. Excessive heat will warp the boards, especially the motherboard because it is large, inside the computer case. They are not built for these gymnastics and sooner or later the very fine connections soldered onto the surface of the board will break and inhibit the flow of electricity. It will die.
In order to inhibit this happening, manufacturers put fans inside the computer so as to increase the flow of air. There are normally at least two in a desktop computer case, one fitted in to the external casing and one directly on the CPU (the chip), which is often the hottest and most expensive single component. In laptops, where air circulation is even more limited, there may be three or four fans.
So, these fans boost the circulation of air within the case in an attempt to cool the chip’s environment down. Therefore, it also stands to reason that there must be sufficient space for that air to flow. If it was left up to the computer to design itself, computer cases would be larger and with more fans. A little like you might like to live in a larger house with air conditioning, if money was no problem.
Now from the human’s point of view. People worry more about looks and fashion and about how much room the computer is taking up. Producers have to listen to what people want if they want to sell their computers. People wanted less prominent computer cases, so producers made half-size cases; people wanted quieter computers, so producers put fewer fans in the cases. And the result was predictable: computers housed in cases like these broke down more often and the only person who was happy about that was the manufacturer.
There is also a trend towards beauty in computer cases. Acrylic, see-through cases are very trendy with gamers. Now games machines are some of the most powerful home computers on the market, because of the power needed to run the graphics at a life-like speed.
See-through cases promote the use of size and fans, because they are often themed, which means that the interior may have green, blue, yellow or red LED’s to light it up. So, for instance, when the DVD player kicks in a red LED comes on inside the case. Similarly with fans, which may also be painted. Some of these themed computer cases are ideal for the chips that reside in them and the individuals that own them
